I participated in two related conference sessions “Around the World with Skype” by Silvia Rosenthal Tolisano http://k12onlineconference.org/?p=481 and Instructional Strategies That Work With Videoconferencing: Increasing Interactivity by Janine Lim http://k12onlineconference.org/?p=441. I found both very interesting and a nice set of presentations. The former was on Skype mechanics and an introduction to strategies, and the latter was a deeper strategic view. Together, plenty of good ideas on videoconferencing for learning. It truly opens the world to students, and in real time!

Did you find an application for you classroom in either of these presentations?
I also watched (and enjoyed very much) Silvia Rosenthal Tolisano’s Skype session, but did not include the other you mentioned. Now I’ll have to go back and add it to my collection – sounds like it fills in some details. Thank you for the info.
